 One part of 100 equal parts of a whole is called a hundredth.

 

One part of 10 equal parts of a whole is called a tenth.

 

A dot used to separate dollars from cents in money or separate ones from tenths in a number is called a decimal point.

 

A number with one or more digits to the right of the decimal point is called a decimal.
